We have been working with the creative community in Canterbury since the day we opened. We love to hear, see, explore and share the amazing things people are doing. Free Range, Create, and Canterbury College's DepArt have all been regulars at Fruitworks over the years.

Workshops and creative markets

We have been honoured to have hosted some amazing workshops from Christmas reef making and drawing classes to hackathon evenings. Whilst our space has changed and expanded over the years - we are proud to offer a dedicated space to run workshops and indoor markets. The flexibility of our space means we are likely to be able help out for every type of event.

Live Music

A variety of talented members such as Music for Change and Aphrah are two such musical artists who use Fruitworks on a regular basis and we have also helped local artists to have launch parties and open mic nights. Award winning 'Free Range' have regularly used Fruitworks over the years with showcasing some of the industries up and coming talents.


Our open plan space with with bar facilities offer the perfect venue to showcase your work. With controlled mood lighting, natural walls and large space - you can truly make your work come to life. We can also help sell your creations after any events by showcasing them in our coffee shop.


If you want to showcase and generate a true reaction - you deserve a space that brings your performance to the next level. With a stepped stage, adjustable lighting and projector - we can support you in multiple ways to enhance your piece. Our flexible seating can also be set up in different ways depending on your needs.

Networking is a big part to keep up to date with what is going on in your community, a chance to meet others and great way to generate leads for new business. And the way we network is adapting with types such as speed networking, breakfast networking and even happy hour networking meetups


Conferences are a great way to showcase your business whilst bringing together your industries leaders to share the latest insights. With multiple opportunities for branding, catering, on site AV equipment, WiFi, round tables, and stage with podium and seats for Fireside discussions - we try to make your set up as easy as possible.


As traditional office spaces disappear and remote working becomes more viable and realistic for SMEs and larger companies - the need for larger meeting rooms and spaces are on the rise. Seating up to 30 people at once allows for professional meetings to take place in a creative yet professional space. If you are looking for something a little smaller - check out our Conference Room which can accommodate up to 14 people or The Green Room which can accommodate up to 4 people.


There is a lot to celebrate. And we should reward people who go above and beyond to help not only their companies thrive, but their communities and others. Why should you host your event at Fruitworks?

Because our space is not like the large venues that are overly large & the small 'cloak' rooms that can only fit 10 or so people. Our space is that perfect in-between size. Our aim is to provide a new exciting space, where we make it as easy as possible for you to host the event you want! From baby showers, indoor markets, art shows and speed dating to networking meetings, training workshops and award ceremonies. We want to help you have the best time without wasting your time with the normal faff that comes with organising an event.
